This is how I would have looked in an 18th-century portrait powered by AI.

My name is Rishikesh. I like to work at the intersection of Technology and Art with a focus on solving world problems. I’m curious about multiple things and like to try out new things. The 16 personality test claims that I’m a Turbulent Logician (INTP-T). Principles You personality test recommended by Kevin Kelly predicts my archetype as Explorer to be my best match. I agree with these results as I personally think that I’m a blend of all these. I consider myself to be a ‘Multipotentialite‘ after watching Emilie Wapnick’s TED talk and her book ‘How to be Everything’. I’m an Atheist, I do not believe in Nationalism and envision ‘A world without Borders‘. I like to refine and update my ideologies and vision of the universe constantly by reading, listening, and observing. I’m driven by a curiosity about new things and a thirst for knowledge. In fact, one of my favorite hobbies would be reading random Wikipedia pages and opening new tabs from the Wikilinks (This is also one of my worst procrastination habits which I’m trying to overcome, more on this later).

I started this blog to document my journey on redefining my probabilities to achieve the goals and vision I have in life. If you’re interested to read more about why I started this blog, you can check it out here. You can check out what I’m currently up to by navigating to my Now page. (Got this idea from Derek Siver’s website). My bucket list of things I want to learn is mentioned on the To Learn page.

A small timeline of my life can be read below:

1994 Nov :Born in a tiny hospital on a strike day in a small village in Kerala.

1996 Feb : Moved to a suburb in Maharashtra. I have very few memories from this phase of my life.

2000 March : Relocated back to my mom's place in Kerala

2000 Mar - 2012 Mar : Not so special phase of my life. I believe that I gained very few skills or memories during this phase.

2012 Aug -2016 Mar: Joined for Engineering and had the best phase of my life so far. Explored freedom to the core. The idea of a life without regrets rooted from here.

2016 April - 2017 Jul: I decided to work in an NGO for free for a year planning my higher education.

2017 Aug: I was awarded the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship to pursue my Master's.

2017 Sep - 2018 Dec: Pursued my Master's in Scotland.

2019: Decided to backpack in Europe for 2 months. Best decision I made so far. Exhausted all my savings by the end of it.

2019 July: Started to work in Bihar on rural mini-grids to serve a purpose, to explore rural India and to learn Hindi.

2020 December: After 1 year 7 months of working, I decided to quit my job and start travelling again for 6 months to find purpose and things I want to do in life

2021 April: Had to stop the trip midway due to 3rd wave of Pandemic. Again exhausted my savings (back to square one?)

2021 May: Decided to start this blog.

My ideologies are constantly shaped by the books and articles I read.
