# Copy a Screenshot Directly to Clipboard on Mac



My usual flow for pasting a screenshot was `Command+Shift+5`, wait for the preview to appear in the corner, open it, then copy. 


Today I learned that  `Control+Shift+Command+4` lets you select an area and copies the screenshot directly to your clipboard. 

No need of saving a file or preview it. Just paste and you are good to go.
